The Grove is a community based network centre working with many other likeminded people and groups with a committment to social change. Grove Gatherings are a forum where like-minded people come to share. Everyone has something to offer and something to learn.

You are welcome to join in and create your own workshop and activities or just relax - our motto at the Grove is “Create the space you want to play in!”. You are also welcome to join in with the big communal evening meal, contribute vegis and inspiration in making it happen.

Camp on flat, grassed areas beside shady trees and swim in the sandy freshwater tidal Webbs Creek. Tank water is available on site but you will need to bring
your camping everything to be self-suffi cient, such as: tent, sleeping gear, torch, cutlery and food. There are no food stalls on site and the closest shops are 6km away in Wisemans ferry.

Ring us to have a chat and ask questions. Check out our easy and detailed directions and map. The Grove is a 1.5hr drive from; Sydney, Gosford and Western Sydney.

Camping at the Grove; General Tips and Info

  • $15 a day camping, per person. This supports us in providing this space, thank you!
  • Please don’t drive your car into the camping area. Stop at the entrance to the Grove, unload, and drive your car to the parking area. Ask for assistance if you need it.
  • The Webbs Creek Valley has no mobile phone coverage, in an emergency come to the house.
  • Rainwater from the tap is good to drink. No chemical additives.
  • Garbage: Please take away all that you brought in, butts too. We have no garbage collections, so avoid the use of disposable items.
  • The compost bin provided is for vegetarian food waste only.
  • The Grove is a drug and alcohol free space.
  • You will need a torch at night - wombats dig big homes.
  • Keep your tent zipped, as animals may also find it cosy. Snakes and other wild life live here; do not disturb them as they are potentially harmful.
  • No dogs or other domestic pets are permitted.
  • The campfire is for community cooking, keep it small. In a Total Fire Ban gas cookers can be provided. There is a water drum and buckets near the campfire in the case of an accident.
  • Please cease noise and drumming before 10pm, (in consideration of the neighbours).
  • Do not use soap in the river - the fish are breathing.
  • There are two hot showers in the amenities block (The Abbey). Beware the tap water gets very hot. Please use the water sparingly!
  • Toilets are composting, the lid must be kept closed after use. It is ok to put toilet paper down.
  • A three-kilometre walk along the ridge will take you to Aboriginal rock engravings.
  • Shops are 5kms away in Wisemans Ferry. The picturesque village of St Albans is 5km in the opposite direction (great pub, no shop).

Please sign our visitors’ book and the disclaimer. Have a great time!
